West End Group was appointed as Principal Contractor to deliver the transformation of an existing facility into a purpose-built Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) within Bluebird House, located on the Tatchbury Mount Hospital site. The works involved:

  • Internal strip-out, remodelling and extensive refurbishment to meet specialist mental health care standards
  • Structural alterations, new partitioning and ceilings.
  • Installation of anti-ligature fixtures, compliant flooring and wall finishes and fully upgraded mechanical and electricalservices

The project required significant health and safety coordination and stakeholder engagement, with all worksdelivered within a live NHS hospital campus.
