This project comprised of refurbishment and targeted redevelopment works at Basingstoke Fire Station. Key elements included:
- Alterations to the ground floor to accommodate a new BA compressor, laundry and drying area, a decontaminationzone, and individual ‘clean showers’
- Replacement of roof coverings to the administration and accommodation blocks to address weathering and improve building
- Associated mechanical, electrical, structural and drainage modifications, along with minimal external fabric alterations.
The works were completed within an operational fire station, requiring careful planning, sequencing, and coordination with station personnel to ensure full continuity of emergency response services throughout the works.
