West End Group was appointed the Principal Contractor to deliver internal refurbishment and fit out works to the professions Academy Building at Andover College. The project was divided into three contract sessions: 1.1 Digital (Main), 1.2 Digital (E-Sports), and 2 Nursing. The works comprised of:
  • Internal reconfiguration, installation of new wall linings and ceilings.
  • Replacement floor coverings.
  • Fire alarm and mechanical & electrical modifications.
  • Installation of data and audio-visual infrastructure.
  • The scheme also included fit out of client procured equipment and furniture to suit modern digital learning and clinical simulation environments.
Works were delivered in a live education setting, requiring phased programming, safeguarding and daily stakeholder liaison. Robust health & safety planning was implemented with full compliance with CDM 2015 and strict segregation of students, staff and contractors throughout the project duration.

Works were carried out in a live, sensitive environment, requiring carefully phased sequencing, noise and dust control and strict compliance with research site protocols. The project team worked closely with Mace as Project Manager and PWP Architects to ensure coordination across all disciplines, delivering high quality results on programme and in full compliance with public sector requirements.
