West End Group was appointed as Principal Contractor to deliver the refurbishment of four meeting rooms and a large conference room within the live National Oceanography Centre in Southampton. The project scope included:

  • Full strip out, internal remodelling, installation of new finishes, ceilings, lighting, flooring and AV enabling infrastructure.

Works were carried out in a live, sensitive environment, requiring carefully phased sequencing, noise and dust control and strict compliance with research site protocols. The project team worked closely with Mace as Project Manager and PWP Architects to ensure coordination across all disciplines, delivering high quality results on programme and in full compliance with public sector requirements.
